Genesis_09 - Two Kinds of People

Part 9:  Two Kinds of People  (Genesis 4:16-5:32)  Tying in with the prophecy from Genesis 3:15, there is a war between the snake people and the woman's people.  Lamech, part of Cain's family, comes front and center.  Chapter 5 ends with the mention of Noah.    

Genesis_08 - Cain & Abel

Part 8:  Cain & Abel (Genesis 4)  Our story picks up outside of the Garden.  Cain & Abel offer sacrifices to God.  Turns out, some sacrifices are received and others are rejected.  One did right and the other, well something seems wrong with his attitude.  God intervenes and has an interesting conversation with Cain.  Ignoring God's warning, Cain does the unthinkable.

Part 7:  The Consequences (Genesis 3:13-24)  The fallout from the rebellion is awful.  These consequences are still haunting us today.  But right in the middle of it all, God makes a promise.

Part 4:  The Eden Story - Part 1 (Genesis 2:4-17).  Chapter 2 zooms in to Eden and in particular, a Garden in Eden.  It's a good place stocked with everything needed for a prosperous and fruitful life.  There are fruit trees of all kinds...and there are 2 trees in particular mentioned in Chapter 2.  

Genesis_03 - Crowned with Glory & Honor

Part 3:  Crowned with Glory & Honor (Genesis 1:26 - 2:15)  God has crowned humanity as His partners in the earth.  This is kingly terminology.  God has a high calling and a high purpose for us.  

Genesis_02 - In God’s Image

Part 2:  In God's Image (Genesis 1:26-28)  On the 6th day, once creation was in order and ready, God created the humans, male & female.  Our origins are connected with God Almighty.
